We help our customers extract insights from large and complex collections of data in support of mission priorities. Whether it’s helping catch criminals, quickly aligning resources in response to a natural disaster or a diplomatic crisis, or uncovering actionable intelligence in support of national defense, we are highly proficient at rapidly transforming classified and unclassified data into decision-making tools.
Our specialties include big data and data lake management, advanced analysis, and data visualization. In addition, our tools, techniques and approaches help create insight out of chaos by turning unstructured data into structured data that can be used for analysis.
And because of the high-priority missions of our law enforcement, intelligence and national security customer base, we are adept at meeting demanding deadlines while complying with stringent security controls.
We complement our data analytics competencies with our groundbreaking capabilities in data governance. Having refined these capabilities through years of working with intelligence community clients, we specialize in creating policies, procedures and standards for managing large volumes of data, defining approaches for evaluating and sharing data, and developing innovative techniques for data collection, documentation and ongoing curation.
Our mission-oriented approach to evaluating and recommending data-sharing policies, big data reporting formats and data manipulation solutions helps our data governance customers:
We partnered with the Institute for the Certification of Computing Professionals to develop a new industry standard certification program in public sector data governance.
Buchanan & Edwards personnel developed the F Interagency Network Databank online tool, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources, which ensures the strategic and effective allocation, management, and use of U.S. foreign assistance resources. The concept behind FIND was developed in collaboration with experts from the U.S. Agency for International Development, State and other U.S. government agencies to increase access, consistency, and usability of global country performance data. This site enables U.S. government personnel and users worldwide to do three important things: explore and analyze national-level data about countries around the globe; create visualizations from the data; and share data and visualizations with colleagues, associates and friends.
