A Brief Overview of the Organization
The Eric Monday Foundation is organized as a not for profit corporation under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia effective August 27, 2013. It is a recognized under Internal Revenue Code section 501 (c) 3 as public charity. Contributions to the Foundation are deductible under section 170 of the code. The Foundation reports annually to the IRS through Form 990.

The Eric Monday Foundation fosters opportunities through wrestling for young individuals who strive to develop their mind, body, and spirit while raising up fellow participants.
Organized around some of the best of Eric Monday’s legacy, the foundation will seek to recognize and promote:
The foundation is to provide for and serve the people of Northern Virginia through charitable support of youth and high school wrestling related activities thereby fostering opportunities for local athletes to successfully compete in national amateur wrestling competitions. Such charitable activities may include, but are not necessarily limited to, contributing to the cost of attending training camps or clinics designed to refine advanced wrestling techniques, organizing and sponsoring high level training camps for dedicated local wrestlers, contributing to the cost of coaching education to ensure Northern Virginia youth and high school wrestlers are learning the sport from highly qualified teachers, providing assistance to wrestlers in identifying and participating in national wrestling competitions and to do all and every such thing as may be necessary, suitable, convenient, usual, or proper for the accomplishment of the purposes expressed in these Articles of Incorporation, or incidental to such purposes.
