Lydia Theunissen, SPHR
VP, Administrative Operations
As Vice President, Administrative Operations, Ms. Theunissen oversees Contracts, all Human Resources, Recruiting, Facilities, and she manages the National Industrial Security Program.
An experienced member of Addx’s executive management team, Ms. Theunissen has a long history of establishing and administering corporate policies and procedures. During her career, Ms. Theunissen has set and implemented high-level strategic plans and policies for government contractors and has led companies through changing labor and contract law requirements while meeting changing corporate objectives. She has developed infrastructure, policy, and procedures as companies have grown from 30 employees to more than 2,000.
As a senior generalist who is well-versed in all areas of Human Resources Management, Ms. Theunissen leads Addx’s Human Resources Office. She is responsible for developing and managing HR policy and documentation, the performance appraisal system, compensation and salary administration programs, benefits and retirement programs, affirmative action and equal employment opportunity plans and programs, employee relations, and progressive discipline procedures, as well as required government compliance and reporting for such programs. She has authored and revised several employee handbooks, designed and delivered orientation programs, led engagement initiatives, and written and delivered training programs to all levels of staff on many HR topics, including ethics and business conduct.
As Addx’s Facility Security Officer (FSO), Ms. Theunissen has responsibility and authority for all National Industrial Security Program (NISP) activities and provides support and guidance for all security-related activities related to contracts with security requirements under NISP, including personnel clearances, visit authorization requests, indoctrinations and briefings, and issuance of DD Form 254s to subcontractors. She also provides support and guidance to program managers for the non-NISP security requirements of Addx’s contracts.
A member of the National Contract Management Association, Ms. Theunissen is an SHRM-certified Senior Practitioner in Human Resources (SPHR).
She holds a BA in English and Political Science from Mount St. Mary’s College and an MBA (with a concentration in Business, Economics, and Public Policy) from George Washington University. Ms. Theunissen has a certificate in Workforce Mediation and Conflict Resolution. She has taken all required courses and many refresher courses as the designated NISP Facility Security Officer.
